Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation will present its Eighth Annual CLvFFie Awards Program on Sunday, November 22, 2008 at the Los Robles Greens Banquet Center. These prestigious awards recognized individuals and/or organizations serving our communities.

Summary of Categories

  1. The Arts – Nominees will have inspired and encouraged others to achieve in the arts, created an innovative Art program or Art event, volunteered “above and beyond” to promote the arts, or created a work of art representative of the spirit of community in the Conejo/Las Virgenes region.
  1. Business/Professional – Nominees will be enterprising businesses or professionals who have displayed exemplary acts of philanthropy, service, volunteerism, and/or achievement that greatly benefits the Conejo/Las Virgenes community.
  1. Community Service – Nominees will be individuals, organizations or clubs that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in the community through exemplary service, philanthropy, or achievement. These may include community service clubs, community organizations, individuals, specific groups of people focused on a common cause, non-profits, and others as appropriate.
  1. Education – Nominees will be individuals or groups working within the education community who have provided exemplary or extraordinary service to schools and/or students and in so doing have enhanced the education of youngsters or adults.
  1. Public Safety – Nominees will be from law enforcement, fire service, emergency medical service, volunteer groups and individuals who have displayed acts of heroism, service, volunteerism, philanthropy or achievement that has resulted in a significant enhancement to our community’s public safety.
  1. Youth Leadership – Nominees will be grade 6-12 students residing in and attending public or private school in the Conejo/Las Virgenes area. Nominees may also be youth organizations demonstrating extraordinary commitment to youth leadership development programs in the area. As a clarification, community service, although likely to be prevalent among nominees, is not the focus of this award. The focus of this award is on demonstrated leadership qualities that have had a positive influence on youth and community.
  1. Other - If you are uncertain about the category, please select this option and the selection committee will review for best category placement.
